David­son re­veals: “We set out to fo­cus on [our] core me­chan­ics and build them up – as long as we ap­ply all th­ese dif­fer­ent abil­i­ties to things and make them be­have in a way that the user would ex­pect, we can mix and match the be­hav­iour. I read a quote re­cently that I really liked, which was ba­si­cally, ‘Any­thing you think you can do in the game you can ac­tu­ally do.’ And that’s what we were try­ing to ac­com­plish – al­most treat it like a skate­board­ing game, where it’s not about if you can jump over some­thing, but about how cool you can be while do­ing it.”
