Un­box was born al­most by ac­ci­dent in De­cem­ber 2014, when the small team at Prospect Games de­cided to spend the week­end at the of­fice, tak­ing part in Epic Games’ monthly Un­real Game Jam. Unim­pressed by Epic’s cho­sen theme of ‘What’s in the box?’, Prospect in­stead asked it­self what the box was do­ing – and within a few hours a card­board con­tainer was rolling around on a screen. With the team work­ing al­most ex­clu­sively in UE4’s Blueprint­ing sys­tem, things have pro­gressed rapidly since; the game passed the Steam Green­light test with a sin­gle trailer and has since been con­firmed for PS4 and Xbox One.
