Mike Wil­son’s ca­reer in game publishing be­gan at Id Soft­ware in 1996, where he em­barked on a mis­sion to carve out a big­ger slice of the rev­enue pie for the Doom stu­dio. He sub­se­quently left Id to join John Romero and Tom Hall at Ion Storm, where he served as CEO. In 1998, Wil­son headed up the cre­ation of Gath­er­ing Of De­vel­op­ers (later known as God Games), which pub­lished a string of hits, mostly on PC, in­clud­ing Mafia and Se­ri­ous Sam. Fol­low­ing an ex­per­i­men­tal DVD project came a stint at Take-Two and then the for­ma­tion of Game­cock, be­fore the in­tro­duc­tion of De­volver Dig­i­tal in 2008. To­day the com­pany fo­cuses on game publishing as well as in­de­pen­dent film dis­tri­bu­tion.
