Rebellion’s reimagining of the arcade classic throws an initially overwhelming cascade of low-poly enemies at you as swarms of deadly creatures blot out the sky and tanks move to flank your position. Zipping around in your air-cushioned tank is intuitive and exhilarating, while a procedurally generated campaign map – which recombines locations, and mission and enemy types each time – provides additional longevity. The game also features fourplayer drop-in/ drop-out co-op and a selection of tanks and upgrades to unlock.
