Where are you from orig­i­nally and where do you call home now? I was born in Ra­jasthan, In­dia and mi­grated to Auck­land, New Zealand with my par­ents as a child, mov­ing to Syd­ney as an adult. I now call Syd­ney home. Who or what in­spires you at the mo­ment? As a high-per­for­mance sales trainer, my pro­fes­sional in­spi­ra­tion is knowl­edge: to in­crease pro­duc­tiv­ity and to make a pos­i­tive dif­fer­ence to other peo­ple’s lives. Knowl­edge en­ables peo­ple to stay ahead of the mar­ket, gain new in­sights about fu­ture trends, ac­quire new skills and iden­tify new ways to re­spond pro­duc­tively. What’s the most im­por­tant project you are work­ing on right now? The abil­ity to work with sales teams to help them be­come re­silient through change and de­liver the skills that takes per­for­mance lev­els from or­di­nary to ex­tra­or­di­nary. I’m work­ing to­wards chang­ing the game of the sales in­dus­try by pro­duc­ing Master Per­suaders who are high-per­form­ing role mod­els in their in­dus­try. Trend to watch in the in­dus­try or in busi­ness? Greater cus­tomer con­trol and per­son­al­is­ing the cus­tomer ex­pe­ri­ence are the ones to look out for this year. The im­por­tance of so­cial in­tel­li­gence will be­come crit­i­cal; self-aware­ness will be just as im­por­tant as un­der­stand­ing the be­hav­iour of the client. Busi­ness lead­ers need to un­der­stand the sci­ence of hu­man be­hav­iour, find­ing the cor­rect com­bi­na­tion of knowl­edge and tech­nique to de­liver a per­son­alised cus­tomer ex­pe­ri­ence.
