What is the mar­ket like in your area? The mar­ket in New­cas­tle and the sur­round­ing ar­eas is still strong; the prices have sta­bilised over the cooler months, with an in­crease on the num­ber of prop­er­ties avail­able for lease.

What is one thing you've quit do­ing since Trans­form? Wast­ing time! I now take time of a morn­ing to plan my day ahead.

What's your big­gest take­away from the pro­gram? Tech­nol­ogy isn’t ev­ery­thing: cus­tomer ser­vice is. Don’t get me wrong – you need the tech, but you also need to build the re­la­tion­ship with the client first. Email is for con­fir­ma­tion, not com­mu­ni­ca­tion.

How did you fit ev­ery­thing in dur­ing the chal­lenge? Dur­ing Trans­form, it was a busy pe­riod for our of­fice. One PM was on ma­ter­nity leave, we em­ployed a new leas­ing of­fi­cer and we changed the struc­ture of our de­part­ment. To com­plete Trans­form, I al­lo­cated time ev­ery morn­ing and joined the 5am club!

What is your next goal? My next goal is to im­ple­ment my take­aways, in­spire my team and be the best leader pos­si­ble. I would def­i­nitely com­plete Trans­form again. I have al­ready been talk­ing with my team and we are all go­ing to join next year.
