It’s love at first swipe
It takes something pretty special to shake up the jam-packed liquid lipstick category, but we predict cult status for Dior’s latest effort. While most paint-on lipsticks tick one, maybe two boxes to become an epic product, this one ticks four. “I wanted extreme makeup results, but still with care elements, that was easy to apply and long-lasting,” explains Peter Philips, creative and image director of Christian Dior Makeup. The pigment pay-off is impressive whether you choose the matte, satin or metallic finishes, but it’s the applicator that really had us at bonjour. The sponge is sharp, nixing the need for a lip liner, while the dip in the centre delivers a constant feed of product for an even, streak-free lip.
