THE City of Swan is encouraging residents to share their food story by entering its 2018 community calendar competition before Friday, June 30.

In celebration of its diverse and multicultural community, the City will be publishing 12 family recipes and stories in its annual community calendar.

The winner will receive a grand prize of $1000 in cash and 11 runners-up will receive prizes valued at $200.

If the grand prize winner is a student, they will also win a $1000 Visa card for their City of Swan school.

Midland/Guildford ward councillor Mark Elliott said the competition was open to all City residents, students and businesses.

“To enter, select your special family recipe and write a short explanation of how the dish reflects your family history and culture,” he said.
