ON the first day of the two day games for the year, Euroa played Cen­tral Park/ St Bren­dan’s at the Friendlies Oval.

Euroa won the toss and elected to bowl.

Jar­rod Mil­lar and Justin Davies opened the bat­ting but in the fourth over, Justin was bowled.

Cap­tain Mitch Cullen came in next and he was also bowled af­ter the ball hit a crack on leg stump and knocked his off-stump over.

Euroa were in trou­ble at 2/6 af­ter five overs.

Nick Dowell came to the crease and he bat­ted well for 20 min­utes be­fore he was LBW for seven.

By­ron Craven was next and was in and out with­out both­er­ing the scor­ers. Euroa were 4/29 af­ter 11 overs. Con­nor McCombe was next in and thank­fully he and Jar­rod bat­ted un­til drinks but Jar­rod was then out for 29 in the sec­ond over af­ter drinks.

This brought Andrew Hill to the crease but he was caught at slip for zero.

Ross Withers joined Con­nor at the crease but then Ross was run out 20 min­utes later which brought David McCombe in to bat.

The fa­ther/son com­bi­na­tion con­tin­ued for 12 min­utes be­fore David was caught which then brought in Nick Hill.

Un­for­tu­nately Nick was bowled and Jack Wil­son headed to the crease but he was bowled shortly af­ter, leav-
