Specials at local market
IT is going to be a beautiful day on Saturday for the Euroa Village Farmers Market down in the picturesque Rotary Park.
Santa will be there to listen to Christmas gift requests from 10.30am.
He will be in the shade happy to hear any requests.
Our stallholders are very happy with their fresh produce at this time of the year and their enthusiasm is always contagious.
The craftspeople are also very proud of their products and display them well.
You will be spoilt for choice if you are still doing your Christmas gift shopping and of course the food you can take home is delicious and, as always, the best quality.
A trip to the Euroa Village Farmers Market will help you plan your Christmas day menu and many other meals.
The cherries are finally off the trees and will make their way to the market this month.
A bowl of cherries on the table will make anyone smile.
There will be plenty of plants and seedlings, flowers and preserves.
There will of course be Christmas puddings to buy either with or without icing.
The coffee will be hot and the egg and bacon muffins, tossed by Euroa Girl Guides will hit the spot after all the shopping and the perfect time to sit back, relax and listen to some music, live and free.
Neale ‘Willie’ Williams, singer songwriter from blues band Willie and the Dixons, will be on stage from 10am playing guitar with special guest, Ian Barford on harmonica.
Willie will be performing many of the songs from the most recent Willie and the Dixons album ‘Vaporizer!’ which went top 10 on the Australian Blues and Roots charts soon after it was released.
The fruit and vegies that are in season now are: cherries of course, apricots, all berries, citrus, passionfruit and peaches.
Vegetables: asparagus, beans, beetroot, cabbage, cucumber, carrots, garlic, lettuce, silver beet and spring onions, sweet corn, tomatoes and zucchini and I may have missed some.
For more information about the market call Helen 0456 723331 and remember that all the products at the market are made by the person that is smiling at you from the other side of the table.
BE ENTERTAINED: Blues performer Neale ‘Willie’ Williams, from ‘Willie and the Dixons’ will be on stage at this month’s farmers market in Euroa.
