Carols at Violet Town - pure joy
VIOLET Town Lions Club held their annual Carols by Candlelight on the Community Centre Lawns last Friday night.
The evening was a chance for all to grab a picnic rug, enjoy a free barbecue provided and sing along to some Christmas classics.
Local performer Jimmy Davidson got the assembled crowd going early, before the Euroa Citizens Band and conductor Chris Day chimed in with some familiar favourites.
Those who came along were treated to a performance from the Shepparton-based choir ’36 Degrees South’, who made a guest appearance in preparation for the Shepparton Carols on the Sunday.
There was also an opportunity for the kids to meet Santa, a real highlight for the younger attendees.
MAGIC VOICE: Renee Rankin was the soloist.
