Come along to a social game of bowls early in the New Year

WE have picked up two new players over recent weeks, Matt and Wally, and Lee Holmes has returned to the fold.

Both pennant teams have had their ups and downs over previous weeks.

The midweek team is sitting at fourth on the ladder following a 33 point loss to Avenel at Avenel last Tuesday.

We are at home to Seymour this week, so hopefully we can steal the points and stop them getting ahead of us on the ladder.

Our Saturday team is travelling really well, beating Nagambie last week and getting back to the top of the ladder this week.

Our Christmas party was a nice get together, and our tables were beautifully decorated – thanks Maxine.

Harry Daley travelled to play in the ‘Novice Singles’, and fared well, having a great win in his first game, then lost to Mick from Nagambie who ended up winning the competition.

Congratulations, Harry, that practice is paying off!

Night bowls is open to anyone wanting to join in.

You need to be at the club at 7pm, flat soled shoes or bare feet and $5 gets you a game!

On Saturday, January 7 be at the club by 1pm for a social game, and also bring a plate of food for a shared afternoon tea.

Merry Christmas from us all here at the club.
