Cycling is the vehicle of choice this season with so many events incorporating two wheels.
Ride part of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour at Mitchelton, explore the new Cascades Trail at Lake Mountain or take a leisurely ride along the Great Victorian Rail Trail and just soak up the scenery.
Explore the region at your own pace via the many markets on offer every weekend.
These markets will put you face to face with many of our local producers, farm gates, artisans and community groups.

The water level of Lake Eildon is just amazing, Lake Nagambie is always inviting and the mighty Goulburn River is majestic right now.

Victoria’s largest inland waterway is brimming with life and entertainment this time of year.
With such a wet spring Lake Eildon is currently 80 per cent full (which is roughly 5x the capacity of Sydney Harbour).
This means that there is fantastic recreational water for the rest of this summer and likely several years to come.
From water skiing to fishing, camping at Fraser in the National Park or enjoying the mountain trail bike single tracks around Eildon there’s something for everyone.

Great Victorian Rail Trail
Cycle, walk or ride the Great Victorian Rail Trail, the longest continual rail trail in Australia.
Spanning more than 130km from Tallarook to Mansfield, with a branch arm taking you from Cathkin to Alexandra its a perfect ride for a summer day (or three).
Stop at one of the many towns or villages dotted along the trail that provide historical insights and contemporary treats.
Discover unique landmarks and buildings, art galleries, museums, food and wine, shopping and markets along the trail.
