Lock up your vehicles, doors

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

TWO homes were burgled and a car was stolen in Euroa last week, prompting police to urge residents to make sure their doors and vehicles are locked.

The burglaries both occurred on Thursday between 12-4pm within a short distance of one another, in the Creek Drive and Anderson Street area.

Police said those who broke into the homes took jewellery and are asking anyone who might’ve seen anything suspicious at the time to contact police.

The stolen car was taken from Clifton Street, near Ausrural, and is yet to be located.

The recent thefts serve as a reminder to residents, who, being part of a small community, may not realise the importance of locking both vehicles and residences.

Unfortunately, as has been demonstrated last week, burglaries can occur anywhere, and people need to take precautions.
