Buy a badge to support Legacy

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

LEGACY Week is fast approaching, and soon volunteers will be out and about selling badges so the organisation can continue to care for the families of our incapacitated and deceased veterans.

This district has a fantastic tradition of offering tremendous support to Legacy during its fundraising drive, according to Euroa RSL Vic president Pierre Durand.

“We have a number of families here in Euroa, Violet Town and the surrounding district that rely on Legatees for assistance,” he said.

“Without the tremendous support from the community we would not be able to continue to offer this support, and so we are hoping the communtiy will once again give generously and buy a badge.”

The funds raised from Legacy Week help Legacy continue to assist about 70,000 widows and 1900 children and people with disabilities Australia-wide, with essential services such as, counselling, special housing, medical, advocacy and social support.

Public support will also help Legacy nurture children’s education, by contributing towards their school fees, books, uniforms, and recreational activities to aid their self-development and confidence.

Legacy would like to thank all those who contribute for their invaluable support during their fundraising drive which is essential to the organisation’s continuation.
