Plane trees to bring shade

Euroa Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

THE Rotary Club of Euroa has been busy this week planting new trees along Anderson Street.

The road is now lined with new plane trees, which will provide shade and beautify the strip between St Johns Primary School and the intersection with Clifton Street in years to come.

Richard Nettleton is the incoming president of Euroa Rotary, and was out there helping with the planting.

Mr Nettleton said the club was hoping to extend the planting to other streets in the town once the current round of planting is complete.

“Rotary have been happy to be able to be able to fund this project, which we think will make a real improvement to the street.

“We are keen to keep on going with the planting in other streets after this, once we can get together the funding.”
