‘The Long View’ offers perspective of the land
THANKS to the Friends of the Euroa Library, everyone is invited to visit an exhibition of paintings themed ‘The Long View: Landscape, land and my country of life’, by artist April-Kaye Ikinci.
The paintings are up now and on view all September until October 15 at the Euroa Library during access hours.
The exhibition of landscapes includes places in Avenel (‘Waiting for the Walk’), three of Ruffy (‘After the Fire’), Licola (‘Summer Storm’), two TownCountry edges of Melbourne, plus intuitive paintings of snow and ice landscapes as metaphor, with a canvas of celebration of the artists ‘country mine’.

There is a offer (new to September 15) to those who have or own unwanted fruit trees.
There is a free tree-removal program now available.
That’s right, someone will come and take you fruit tree away for free.

Bottle trap and other designs available on the internet with many recipes including organic, see Avenel Primary School newsletter no 27.
Avenel school had the fun of a bottle trap decorating (a 2 litre plastic milk bottle) competition, with the products to be distributed around the local area in fruit trees.
Irish Drum player and/or small percussion players invited to join Avenel House’s ukulele mob in exploring and playing a whole range of different music.

School holidays special art program at Avenel Neighbourhood House with April-Kaye Ikinci on Thursday 28th and October 5, 1-3pm.
The sessions will consist mainly of painting and collage, with all materials provided.
$7 per session, with family discounts available. Everyone of all ages invited to come along, although children need to be accompanied by an adult.
