Vet­eran shooter fires well at event

THE Euroa Clay Tar­get Club con­ducted the An­nual High­lands Shield shoot at the Vi­o­let Town Shoot­ing Com­plex on Sun­day, Septem­ber 10.

This shield shoot was between Alexan­dra, Mans­field and Euroa Clubs with both the cham­pi­onship event and the hand­i­cap event scores to count.

The High­lands Cham­pi­onship saw vet­eran Euroa Shooter out­last Lee Fitzger­ald from Col­binab­bin club in the fi­nal shoot-off to win with a score of 40/40.

Lee’s son Rob­bie, a very good ju­nior shooter, claimed his first hand­i­cap win from lo­cal Cameron Asquith with a score of 31/33.

As for the team re­sults both Euroa teams fin­ished in front of the op­po­si­tion to claim the shield.

The teams were Lau­rie Fitz­patrick, Rob Stack­house, Cameron Asquith, Craig Asquith, John King, Iain Tow­ers Scott Tow­ers and Lach­lan McDo0­nald.

1st B grade: M. McLach­lan (Mans­field) 24/25.

2nd B grade: D. Col­li­hole (Euroa) 22/25.

1st C grade: Cam Asquith (Euroa) 24/25.

2nd C grade: R. Press (Mans­field) 22/25.
