For the majority of the quarter there was virtually no scoring aside from a point or two each way as both sides desperately threw themselves at the contest not willing to give an inch each way.
The margin hovered at around the two goal margin as neither side were able to convert their shots on goal until Michael Shiels managed to break out of a contest and kicked one from 20 metres out to stretch the margin in the dying moments.
Violet Town managed to return fire with one themselves but the damage was done and Nagambie were again through to the grand final.
Violet Town now have to go the long way around and face Avenel in a preliminary final at Tallygaroopna next Saturday while Nagambie will take the week off and wait to see who they will face off against to defend their title.
