NBN is rolling out into towns
STRATHBOGIE Shire residents looking for faster and more reliable internet can breathe a sigh of relief with NBN infrastructure being rolled out in the townships of Euroa and Nagambie.
Technicians have been installing the NBN infrastructure in Nagambie for the past two weeks, with work expected to be completed by February 2018.
It comes after the physical NBN construction work in Euroa (fibre to kerb), which began in early August and is now nearing completion.
The NBN construction in Nagambie involves the installation of low-impact facilities, both above-ground housings (five cabinets and one pillar within a road reserve) and underground infrastructure (pits and conduit).
So while you’re out and about in Nagambie, you may notice workers doing the following work:
through existing and/or new conduits; trenching or direction boring;
manholes and clear blockages in conduits;
ground electricity connection for above-ground housing cabinets;
of above-ground housing cabinets; and
