Euroa Agricultural Show only a month away

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS - By AUDREY MCINTOSH

GREAT plans have been put into action for the Euroa Show on the weekend of October 28 and 29, with new attractions and many of the familiar outside activities that have taken place over the last 125 years.

This year all the horse entries will be held on the Sunday except for the harness and carriage horses, which will be held on the Saturday.

The Scarecrow Competition which started last year is on again and we look forward to these wonderful creations from organisations, schools, businesses and individuals.

Children’s activities will again be a feature and who doesn’t like seeing members of the animal family all together on display.

Where else would you be able to get up close to these but at the Euroa Show – a koala, joey kangaroo, laughing kookaburra, snakes, echidna, a dingo and many more in this ‘Wild Action Team’.

TV zoologist Chris Humphrey’s show will be performed in three exciting stage shows.

Another attraction will be the Stilt Walker weaving her way amongst the crowd during the day.

This year the NR Ralston Pavilion will have new prizes to attract entries and some special sponsors keeping the stewards in several sections.

As in the past there will be the usual sponsored prizes in the schedule but added ones in the floral section.

Hopefully all the sponsors will see plenty of entries in the sections they are sponsoring.

This year again, entries in the pavilion sections will be online and details will be available in the schedule.

Stewards will be at the library and at the showgrounds on designated days to help entrants with their entries.

These days will be detailed in a later article.

Here’s hoping for another successful Euroa Show in 2017.

SPRING DELIGHT: there will be plenty of locally grown flowers on show in the pavilion.
