Walker girls swing into ac­tion, plac­ing in top 3

HOLLY Walker gained her first set of clubs at the age of 6, wtih sis­ter Bella then be­com­ing very in­ter­ested as well.

Af­ter com­plet­ing a six week ‘Learn to Play’ class, the Shep­par­ton Golf Club in­vited them to join as cadet mem­bers.

The girls now com­pete ev­ery Sun­day and have re­cently gained their GA ( olf Aus­tralia ) hand­i­cap.

They train ev­ery Fri­day night with Dar­ren Rodgers - the head pro at Shep­par­ton Golf Club - and they are also mem­bers of the Euroa Golf Club here they play reg­u­larly with their mum and dad.

Last week the girls had great suc­cess in Vic­to­rian Pri­mary Schools Sports As­so­ci­a­tion ‘Golf Day’ in Shep­par­ton where they rep­re­sented St. John’s Pri­mary School and fin­ished first and third.

We look for­ward to fol­low­ing what is sure to be an ex­cit­ing fu­ture for the Walker girls as they con­tinue to en­joy and achieve suc­cess in their pas­sion for golf.
