Euroa basketballers celebrate
THE grand final night at Euroa basketball was a fantastic celebration of a great season.
Three grand finals took place, with the Opals winning the first girls’ bas- ketball grand final.
The under 11s was won by the underdog team, the Hawks and the under 14s was won by ladder leader, Clippers.
Congratulations to Nic Watson and Mitchell Robinson who were awarded ‘Most Valuable Player’ for under 11 and the runner up was Matty Capobianco.
The under 14s was very hotly contested with three runners up - Bede Redfern, Fletcher Paul and Baxter Ramsden and with only one extra vote, the winner was Keily Jager.
What was more impressive was the amount of improvement and teamwork that was displayed across all age groups. Well done to everyone. Euroa Basketball will now run an under 12 competition on a Monday night for players born in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and an under 10 for those born in 2009 and 2010.
