Prices hold firm de­spite weather

EUROA Monthly Store Sale com­prised of a small yard­ing of 750 cat­tle.

Prices held firm to re­cent sales, de­spite the re­cent dry weather.

Com­pe­ti­tion was strong from lo­cal buy­ers, and with­out them the sale could have been a lot tougher on prices.

Steers made up the ma­jor­ity of the yard­ing, with 380- 450kg steers mak­ing be­tween 275- 290c/ g.

A very light yard­ing of heifers came for­ward mainly due to a Land­mark ex­port or­der to China at $ 1100.

Young An­gus heifers were scarce, with a top of $ 855-. Steers: A/ C Ox­ton Euroa: 37 An­gus steers, 1516 m/ o, av­er­age 420kg @ $ 1182;

A/ C R Hal­icki- Caveat: 17 An­gus steers, 12 m/ o 365kg @ $ 1075;

A/ C Yal­lum Vale- Echuca: 29 An­gus steers, 414kg @ $ 1145;

A/ C Pal­ma­teer: 27 An­gus steers 316kg @ $ 970;

A/ C Mirabeu: Gooram IS Charx steers 440kg @ $ 1225; and
