Bright visits on a friendly day
Euroa by the first lady president of Bright, Julie Ellis, and in reply Euroa president Bill O’Connor said that it was a pleasure to come to this delightful setting and to join in the fellowship of bowls.
Bill said that there was a great social interaction between the clubs and players and it was wonderful to be a part of this historical event.
The winning Bright team was Gerry Gibbons, Graeme Crestibett and Beverly Griffith and the Euroa team was Dot Lomer, Marc Stevens and Jan Watters.
Both teams received club glasses and president Bill and secretary Marc received Bright mugs and in turn the Bright president Julie and secretary Eileen received Euroa glasses.
Euroa members then journeyed home after a lovely social day, especially hearing the area description by a member of where he lived as a young boy.
The bus had to detour at Violet Town after a freeway accident, near Balmattum, which meant that it was a longer way home through Moglonemby.
Thanks to Len who drove the bus, to those who took their cars for the extra bowlers and to Bill and Judy who transported our bowls.
