Both fell in quick succession, after bringing the score past 190.
It was left to debutant Redfern (18) and Paul Allen to finish the innings and get Euroa past the psychological mark of 200.
With some late hitting and good running, Euroa finished the innings at 7-211 off their allocated 45 overs.
After the mid-way break, Euroa got off to a great start with the ball, picking up two quick wickets in the first three overs to leave the home side at 2-9.
Full of confidence, Euroa let a few chances- including some tough dropped catches and misfields- go by.
They would come to rue these lost opportunities.
Undera veteran Greg Campbell punished the depleted Magpie bowling lineup, hammering the short boundaries of his home ground on his way to 79.
He was ably assisted by Bayden Bailey, who contributed 49 on their way to a 131 run partnership.
Euroa then took both their wickets quickly, to give them some hope of running through the Lions’ middle and lower order and win the game at 4-140.
However, it wasn’t to be, as Undera’s Brenton Campbell (26) and Johnny Valentin (38) took absolute control of the game racing to the victory target inside 40 overs. Undera finishing 4-212. Euroa can take heart from the fact the batsmen all made contributions to the total, which was a respectable one- especially given it is round one.
The bowlers, however, will need to spend some time in the nets this week, although returning players Ben Milliken, Brad Gleeson, Matt Walker and Riley Dowell are sure to bolster the attack next week.
Euroa plays Northerners in Tallygaroopna next Saturday.
