Euroa Gazette - - FRONT PAGE - By GLENDA MILLER

THE Euroa Garden Club visited the beautiful garden of Neville and Beryl Harris on October 20.

The weather was lovely, the sun was shining and it was a great afternoon to spend outside.

Guest speaker for the day was June Chanter a qualified flower judge, Ian her husband accompanied her on the day. June started to explain to us the best way to present our flowers for competition, the reason being presentation means everything in flower judging.

An informative demonstration then followed with the many Iris’ that were brought along by the couple on the day.

Many aspects of flower display were covered in the talk and we thank her for that.

June went on then to judge our monthly flower competition, the winners were:

tine John;

Thank you June for your expertise and judging on the day.

Our host Beryl and Neville have worked tirelessly over the past nineteen years getting this unique garden to this stage and now, allowing all our members to witness what can be done with love of what you do and hard work.

When they bought this property there was not much more than lawn and then, the new venture began. Rose cuttings were brought from their previous property “Koraleigh” these had been struck and were then planted in a horse shoe shape bed.

Neville went on to collect rocks from a local farmer and with these he created various garden beds which Beryl went on to weave her magic in the garden bringing everything to life.

Their garden is full of memories, plants that have been given to them by special people in their life over the years for different occasions, only add to this interesting garden.
