Pool contracts finalised at special meeting
IT is onwards and upwards for the Euroa Pool this summer with Council’s adoption of the contract for its operation and management.
This is great news for residents of the shire and visitors to the region, who can look forward to enjoying the excellent facility on those hot summer days.
The successful tenderer for the contract was GL & BA Brooks, which was approved by Council at the Special Meeting on Tuesday 31 October.
With the go ahead from Council, residents can look forward to hitting the water on December 1.
The Special Charge Scheme in part of Euroa’s Campbell Street and Palmer Avenue was also a key item that was addressed at the meeting and it was noted that no submissions were received in response to the public notice.
Council therefore resolved to formally determine the decision as to whether the scheme goes ahead at the Ordinary Council meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 6pm at Euroa Community Conference Centre.
This scheme will see residents benefit from new drainage designed to improve their properties and minimise future flood risk.
