Two out of three ain’t bad in pen­nant bowls

IT was a much bet­ter week this time when two of the three sides had wins in Mid­week Pen­nant.

Di­vi­sion two de­feated Hill Top at Euroa and di­vi­sion five won at Sey­mour. Di­vi­sion two: 73/52 M Cerini (s), B Dif­fey, L Fis­cher, D Lomer de­feated S Ni­hill 27/19.

L Byrne (s), A Sut­cliffe, K Stevens, J Wat­ters de­feated G Smith 26/22.

K Boyce (s), T Kingma, P Nay­lor, C Dinge­mans de­feated R Downs 20/11.

Di­vi­sion four lost to Mer­rigum at Euroa 51/82.

M Goode (s), G Malane, A McIntosh, N Har­ris drew with M Shep­herd 21/21.

M Steen (s), M Stevens, R Goldswor­thy, B Al­ston lost to L Chant 19/27.

M David­son (s), B Har­ris, D Tiller, J Dunn lost to C Firmer 11/34. Di­vi­sion five won at Sey­mour 58/36. M Bruce (s), L Havel­berg, V Wein­berg, P Boz de­feated E Cas­sar 36/13.

N Boz (s), I South, I Pol­lock, G Web­ster lost to L Gee 22/23.

There is no mid­week pen­nant this week; the next match will be played on Novem­ber 14 with di­vi­sion two and five home to Kyabram and di­vi­sion four hav­ing a bye.

The cham­pi­onship lists are on the board, so please add your name to play – it is a good ex­pe­ri­ence.

The Vic Open will be hap­pen­ing from Novem­ber 18 – 25 and games will be played at Euroa on Sun­day, Novem­ber 19, Mon­day, Novem­ber 20, Tues­day, Novem­ber 21 and Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 22.

Slices for lunch are re­quired and help also so please let Mavis know if you can help.

The club will be hav­ing the an­nual Christ­mas raf­fle again this year and gifts are re­quired to fill the bas­kets, so please help make this ef­fort a suc­cess.
