THE first round of the sum­mer tro­phy was run and won on Sun­day with Dean Brown tak­ing the win.

After plonk­ing a ball into the wa­ter on the 16th he thought his chances of vic­tory had gone with it, but a birdie, par fin­ish se­cured a one shot vic­tory with an 81- 70.

Run­ner-up was vis­it­ing Seymour golfer Paul Niebling who signed for an 84-71.

Next best came down to a three way count­back with Tim Bald­win’s two over 38 on the back nine claim­ing third place with 83-72.

The ever con­sis­tent duo of Lind­say Hall 86-72 and Dave Ful­lager 90-72 closed out the top five.

FRI­DAY evening saw an­other fab­u­lous roll up to ‘Twi­light Golf’.

De­spite the colder weather we had good num­bers rep­re­sent­ing the hand­i­cap play­ers and like­wise, those with­out a hand­i­cap, com­pet­ing in the Cal­loway com­pe­ti­tion.

The win­ner of the non-hand­i­cap ‘Cal­loway’ com­pe­ti­tion was Michael Lum­mas with 36 ½ nett - con­grat­u­la­tions Mick.

Balls down the line win­ners were: Nor­ton Byrnes, Jess Asquith and Michelle Grady.

There was no near­est the pin win­ner on this oc­ca­sion.

The hand­i­cap play­ers com­peted in a sta­ble­ford round.
