NAGAMBIE MEN’S GOLF
THE first round of the summer trophy was run and won on Sunday with Dean Brown taking the win.
After plonking a ball into the water on the 16th he thought his chances of victory had gone with it, but a birdie, par finish secured a one shot victory with an 81- 70.
Runner-up was visiting Seymour golfer Paul Niebling who signed for an 84-71.
Next best came down to a three way countback with Tim Baldwin’s two over 38 on the back nine claiming third place with 83-72.
The ever consistent duo of Lindsay Hall 86-72 and Dave Fullager 90-72 closed out the top five.
FRIDAY evening saw another fabulous roll up to ‘Twilight Golf’.
Despite the colder weather we had good numbers representing the handicap players and likewise, those without a handicap, competing in the Calloway competition.
The winner of the non-handicap ‘Calloway’ competition was Michael Lummas with 36 ½ nett - congratulations Mick.
Balls down the line winners were: Norton Byrnes, Jess Asquith and Michelle Grady.
There was no nearest the pin winner on this occasion.
The handicap players competed in a stableford round.
