Emer­gency land­ing

A LIGHT air­craft, ex­pe­ri­enc­ing engine prob­lems, was forced to make an emer­gency land­ing near Euroa at around 6pm on Sun­day evening.

The plane came to rest in a pad­dock north of Euroa, within close prox­im­ity to the air­field.

Euroa po­lice said the ex­pe­ri­enced pilot was ex­tremely lucky to es­cape with­out in­jury.

All emer­gency ser­vices at­tended the scene.


ON Satur­day, Septem­ber 29, be­tween 11 and 11.30pm a black car­bon fi­bre push bike was stolen from the rear of MMK Ac­count­ing in Euroa.

The brand of bike is RIB­BLE with rare sram gear­ing Miche wheels, with a value of over $4000.

Euroa po­lice are en­cour­ag­ing lo­cal busi­nesses in Bin­ney Street to re­view any CCTV footage that may lead to an ar­rest.

ON Fri­day, Septem­ber 21, Euroa po­lice at­tended a col­li­sion be­tween a truck and a car tow­ing a car­a­van on the Hume Free­way.

No in­juries were sus­tained by ei­ther party.


ON Satur­day, Septem­ber 22, Euroa po­lice at­tended a sin­gle ve­hi­cle crash in Euroa.

A male driver was trav­el­ling along Siems Road when he lost con­trol of his ve­hi­cle and smashed into a tree, with the pas­sen­ger sus­tain­ing in­juries.

All emergecny ser­vices at­tended the crash.

The driver was pro­cessed for drink driv­ing and other of­fences and will at­tend court at a later date.
