You can catch a Hollywood flick at the Euroa Cinema

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

IN recent times, the churches of the district have brought two well- received movies to Euroa Cinema.

These were War Room and The Case for Christ.

On Friday, October 12 at 7.30 pm, a third film from Hollywood will be showing, called, ‘ I Can Only Imagine”.

Based on the true story of Bart Millard, lead singer of band MercyMe, it tells about his transforming relationship with his troubled, abusive and alcoholic father.

The film stars Priscilla Shirer, Michael Finley, Madeline Carroll and Trace Adkins with Cloris Leachman and Dennis Quaid.

The Guardian newspaper wrote that “the nationwide exposure for this faithbased work is noteworthy in itself, in part due to the hugely breakout popularity of the song which gives the film its name”.

The undeniably catchy song written by Bart Millard, it’s the narrative of this slick assembled tale, beautifully illustrated story about redemption and reconciliation’.

Born into a working class family, Millard seeks solace in music, away from the physical and psychological abuse of his father, and finds success in singing.

Director brothers, Andrew and Jon Erwin steer the movie well, steadily drawing out sincere and persuasive performances.

Come along on the night and bring a friend or two, with admission only $ 10.

The support of Euroa Cinema folk is greatly appreciated once again.
