Call­ing all young agri­cul­tural in­no­va­tors to sub­mit ideas

YOUNG agri­cul­tural sci­en­tists, in­no­va­tors and re­searchers from across Vic­to­ria are be­ing in­vited to sub­mit their agri­cul­tural re­search project ideas for a chance to share in up to $286,000 in grant fund­ing.

The awards recog­nise big ideas that con­tribute to the suc­cess of Aus­tralia’s agri­cul­ture, fish­eries and forestry sec­tors.

In­no­va­tive 18-35 year olds will have the chance to share in the over­all money with grants of up to $22,000 across 13 in­dus­try cat­e­gories.

Deputy Leader of The Na­tion­als and Sen­a­tor for Vic­to­ria Brid­get McKen­zie urged pas­sion­ate young peo­ple across Vic­to­ria to put their ideas for­ward for im­prov­ing the pro­duc­tiv­ity, com­pet­i­tive­ness and sus­tain­abil­ity of their in­dus­tries.

Ap­pli­ca­tions will close on Fri­day Oc­to­ber 12 and re­cip­i­ents will be pre­sented at the (ABARES) Out­look 2019 con­fer­ence in Can­berra.
