Hungaroring, Hungary 16.08.98 Car Ferrari F300 Grid 3rd

Podium David Coulthard, Jacques Villeneuve Arguably one of the greatest wins of his career and certainly one of Ross Brawn’s proudest. The Ferrari clearly wasn’t as quick as the McLarens at the notoriously hard-to-pass Hungaroring. Starting third behind the McLarens, Ferrari chose to switch their strategy mid-race from two to three stops. But that required Schumacher to pull out a 22-second lead over Häkkinen before his final stop. A series of blistering qualifying-esque laps let Schumi find the gap and he emerged from his final stop in the lead of the race. Truly impressive.
