Al­bert Park is one of the tough­est cir­cuits on brakes on the F1 cal­en­dar. On av­er­age at the Mel­bourne track, an F1 car reaches 238 kWh – which is more than the energy dis­si­pated on the Suzuka and Sil­ver­stone cir­cuits com­bined.

Dur­ing the AGP each driver ap­plies the brake pedal more than 500 times. This equates to a to­tal pedal load in ex­cess of 64 tonnes.
