The former A-1 Ring presents a mid-level difficulty for the brakes compared to other tracks. The hardest braking area is at the Remus Curve (Turn 2) where drivers take the turn at 316km/h before slowing abruptly to under 70km/h – in a braking area of just 146m. From the starting line to the chequer, each driver applies a total load of 67 tonnes on the pedal, which is the nearly the total weight of 400 KTM motorcycles.
