Organic Dairy Farmers

Farm World News - - Farm World 2016 -

Founded in 2002, Organic Dairy Farmers of Australis (OFDA) is a co-operative, owned and operated by the farmers that supply the milk. It supplies over 75 per cent of all organic milk produced in Australia from certified organic and bio-dynamic farms across the main dairying regions of Victoria.

ODFA operates under co-operative principles with members having shares and voting rights and their core objective is to maximise the farm-gate milk price payable to our members.

This dairy co-operative has put their money where their mouth is with a milk processing plant in North Geelong and a transport network across Victoria

They supply milk and dairy ingredients to companies in Australia and overseas who in turn carry the True Organic brand as a mark of quality and integrity. Their objective is to create cheeses and dairy products that are remarkable for their distinctive flavour and quality, and that reflect the unique characteristics of the milk, pastures and environment where the milk is produced.

The co-op is growing and interested in talking with farmers who are thinking about organic dairy farming contact (03) 5277 8900.
