2017 Holdren Colorado ute
Holden has made its Colorado ute better-looking and safer for MY2017
The 2017 Holden Colorado ute has been revealed ahead of its launch next month, showing off a cosmetic update as well as benefitting from some new safety kit.
For the first time, the popular Colorado will be available with Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning, as well as front and rear parking sensors.
A rear-view camera will also be available across the range as standard.
The Holden MyLink touch screen infotainment system now boasts Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps. The truck has also undergone an interior redesign.
Holden sales executive director Peter Keley believes the redesigned Colorado is a key vehicle in Holden’s future product portfolio, and says its new styling and technology are sure to be a hit with customers.
“Colorado has resonated well with customers in a segment that has almost doubled in sales in the last 10 years, and we’re confident the new 2017 Colorado will build on this and redefine customer expectations of what a truck can be,” Keley says.
In a bid to offer more in the way of accessories, the range of factory options has also increased.
According to Holden accessories engineering manager Joseph Basile, the extended range of accessories available on the 2017 Colorado has been inspired by the Colorado Xtreme show truck and will better allow customers to tailor their vehicle to their specific lifestyle.
“When we revealed the Colorado Xtreme show truck back in March, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and that has driven us to make sure we included as many of the concept accessories as we could into the final Colorado program,” Basile says. “In the coming months, the 2017 Colorado will deliver a plethora of all-new accessories to its range, including a safari bar, fender flares, LED driving lights, 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tyres, so we’re confident there’s something for everybody.”
