Claas Harvest Centre Echuca has won the Strive Dealership of the Year Award, which recognises the best-performing Claas farm machinery dealership in Australia and New Zealand.

Brendan and Marcella Caffery have taken their Claas Harvest Centre from a start-up business to a thriving venture that now employs 16 people and services 500 farmers and contractors throughout Northern Victoria in just over seven years.

The dealership “has successfully differentiated itself in the highly competitive farm machinery market by providing exceptional customer service, including 24/7 service and parts support during the busy harvesting period,” Claas says.

Brendan Caffery says the dealership’s success is not necessarily about having the best machinery or offering the best deals – it’s about providing the best service.

“In many ways, farmers aren’t buying a machine but rather the team behind it,” he says. “Farmers and contractors want to know that you will be there when they need you. Every machine needs fixing sooner or later, so it really comes down to how quickly you can get that machine going again.”

The 2016 After Sales Team of the Year award was presented to Northern New South Wales Claas Harvest Centre, WJ Matthews.

Known as ‘WJ’s’, the third-generation family-owned business employs more than 35 staff across two branches in Moree and Narrabri.
