Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo 2017
The Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo promises to be bigger and better in 2017
More than 30,000 visitors attended the inaugural Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo 2016, and in 2017 the show will be even bigger with a broader spread of industries.
Managed and operated by representatives of the Australian earthmoving equipment industry, the show now promises the biggest range of earthmoving machinery and attachments, agricultural machinery, mowing equipment, trucks, boats, bikes, and more.
“It’s a family-friendly show with loads of entertainment for everyone,” the organisers say. “Keep the kids occupied while mum and dad look for that deal they have been waiting for.
“Live demonstrations will be running throughout the three days, with operator challenges and lots of giveaways on many of the stands.”
As we reported last year, there were deals aplenty taking place at DDT. Livio Pace of Boss Attachments said he was “blown away” by the huge crowd that included machinery attachment buyers who generated around $1 million in sales for his company.
“We could have closed up on Friday and been very happy with the outcome,” he says. “Even bigger sales occurred on Saturday, while the crowd on our stand on the Sunday was unprecedented.
“Typically, from a show of this type, we receive a number of enquiries and follow-ups for months afterwards. Not this time. People were there to buy on the spot. We’re not talking about small items – these sales were for $50,000 to $100,000 pieces of equipment.”
