JCB 411HT & 417HT ag loaders
JCB Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) has launched the 411HT (pictured) and 417HT mid-size wheel loaders, which it says has been built for hard-surface applications such as operating in bulk stores or loading tasks on farms.
Both of the new models are powered by a 4.4-litre JCB EcoMAX diesel engine configured to Stage IV/Tier 4 emissions standards, with the 411HT pushing out 81kW and the 417HT capable of 93kW.
JCB says the Stage IV/Tier 4 standard was reached without the need for a diesel particulate filter by using a selective catalytic reduction system.
The 8.7-tonne 411HT is fitted with JCB high-torque lift arms, which give the machine a load-over clearance of 3.36m, with a full-turn tipping load of just over five tonnes. With its larger sibling, the 9.4-tonne 417HT, there are three loader arm options giving operators a clearance of up to 4.2m, making it ideal for bale stacking or loading feed hoppers.
Optional hydraulic suspension is available to cushion the arms as the loader travels over a rough surface, improving ride comfort and minimising the risk of spillages or a load becoming dislodged.
“These agile loading machines have a commanding central driving position that makes it easy to position and manoeuvre them in the most restricted of working environments,” JCB CEA national product manager Greg Sealey says.
Inside the cab of the new models, the seat and controls have been ergonomically positioned to reduce stress on the operator, regardless of their individual sizes.
The fully adjustable air-suspension seat features electronically controlled lumbar support.
The position of the steering wheel is also adjustable, and operators can save their preferences into the loader’s memory to instantly return the wheel to the preferred position.
The modern cab design also allows the operator to conduct routine service checks from inside the cab, saving time and improving safety.
“The more spacious new CommandPlus cab brings new levels of information, control and comfort to the JCB 411HT and 417HT, with excellent visibility and improved sound suppression, making it a great place to spend long hours in the driving seat,” Sealey says.
“Operators also get a second information screen with integrated remote camera display and CommandPlus Control, which enables the in-cab adjustment of auxiliary oil flow, the optional boom suspension system and timing intervals for the reversing fan if one is fitted.
“Being able to perform daily routine service checks from within the cab not only saves time, but encourages operators to regularly make these important checks.”
