TRIUMPH 650 DAYTONA

Fast Bikes - - FEATURE -

RARITY wasn’t sold for long

UNUSUAL TECH big-bore 600 four with evenmore grunt than a Kawasaki ZX-636R

NOSTALGIA oh yes

Triumph knew the ripper 675 Daytona triple was coming out, but they had a year to go with the 600cc inline-four, so they went nuts and threw a big-bore kit at it for 2005. The original 600 Daytona won no prizes for looks, and was a bit lame power-wise, but it was an incredible handler. So the 650 sorted out the power – massively – and all we had to moan about was the looks. Still a sweet ride today, and since the 650 was only about for 18months or so, there’s not many about at all. A 600 is a decent backup option, but the mad Hinckley collectors will all really be wanting a 650 in years to come…

Fly the flag with this British beauty.
