SCORPION RP-1 GP EXHAUST

-

There’s nothing worse than riding a bike that sounds like a sewing machine. Okay, maybe it’s not the end of the world, but it’s a frustration that’s easily avoided through the fitment of a Scorpion RP-1 GP end can. I came to realise this after fitting one to my long term Fireblade SP, which completely intensified the savage exhaust note of the Euro 4-governed motorcycle. It’s now got a bark that’ll scare the largest of dogs, and an appearance so sleek you’ll wonder why the stock fitment needed to be five times its size and weigh a whole 2.44kg more than the Scorpion.

It comes as stock with a removable baffle that’ll set car alarms off if you take it out, and it was a relatively easy item to fit. The instructions were fathomable and I reckon it took me an hour to bolt it on the bike. I love the look and sound of the can, and even with the baffle in I’d argue it’s made my presence more notable, which can only make things safer when you’re riding around with nutters behind steering wheels trying to play dodgems. The can costs £499.99 and carries the link-pipe to locate it onto the stock Blade downpipes. It’s available in either carbon or titanium for the same price. Wish I’d fitted mine sooner.
