CHARLIE SAYS...

Fast Bikes - - CORE TEST -

You really do have to shower the Ducati with streams of plaudits for its overall ability, style and exquisite level of sophistication that offers even the newest of riders the Panigale experience. Taken in isolation, it’s a perfect balance of power, pinpoint precision and all-star quality. It’s not until you ride in comparison to the MV that elements of the 959 seem almost laboured, being a little more reticent to flick around, but this is purely a symptom of how planted the Ducati is. At speed this journey- lovin’ weapon delivers in spades, though a stop-start town ride is an utter ball- ache due to an inherent hunger to be performing in the higher rev range. Still, I’ll happily deal with such hang- ups because its virtues far outweigh its criticisms.
