Location: Vincent Thomas Bridge, San Pedro, California Movies: Gone in 60 Seconds – 1974 and 2000
This 460m long suspension bridge crosses Los Angeles Harbour linking San Pedro with Terminal Island and has been featured in numerous movies including Lethal Weapon 2, Charlie’s Angels and the original 1974 Gone in 60 Seconds. You serious gamers may also recognise it from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto V and Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Most famously though, it’s the location for the biggest (and possibly worst) scene in the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds - the bit where Nicolas Cage jumps Shelby GT500, Eleanor, over a huge row of cars. Car thieves generally deserve to be chucked off of bridges but, in the case of Memphis Raines, we’ll make an exception. He does get to wipe his dipstick on Angelia Jolie after all… if you catch my drift.
YOU DON’T EVEN NEED TO PAY THE DART CHARGE EITHER.
