SOFT99 CREAMY TYPE SHAMPOO, £13

Fast Car - - Fresh Kit - www.nipponshine.com

You’ll no doubt be needing a decent car shampoo over the coming months, and this Creamy Type stuff from Japan’s huge Soft99 corporation is regarded as one of the finest in the world. That said, it’s a little different to what you usually find here in Europe. Even though we can’t actually read the instructions, we know it’s specifically designed to clean cars the Japanese way - and that’s without slapping it in an oh-so-European bucket of water. Instead you apply the product undiluted to a good quality sponge (that’s right, a sponge) and simply give it a squeeze to lather up loads of lovely suds. The idea is that it contains plenty of hi-tech rinsing agents, so the dirt won’t stick to the sponge or the car, even if it dries during washing. Easy to apply and easy to rinse off, it’s probably the only product of its kind here in the west. Try it and see if it suits you.
