Life membership for Wayne

Field and Game - - FGA BRANCH NEWS -

Wayne Sandwith, a long serving committee member and a Ballarat FGA member for over 30 years, has been awarded life membership of the branch.

Ballarat FGA Secretary Aaron Edmondson said Wayne was always at the club for working bees, setup days and shoot days and the branch wanted to recognise his contribution over many years. “He's always helping out and is highly respected throughout the club and has introduced a number of people into Field & Game,” he said.

Wayne said he was never a footballer or cricketer and spent his youth field shooting for rabbits and foxes until he joined Field & Game in the late 1980s. “It is an honour and a privilege to be made a life member,” he said.

“It is a great sport, you have a lot of fun and meet a lot of good people.”
