Rakali Eco­log­i­cal Con­sult­ing is run­ning two cour­ses on wet­land ecol­ogy and plant iden­ti­fi­ca­tion.

The first is a Wet­land Plant Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion course over three days in Oc­to­ber. Each day will fo­cus on a dif­fer­ent wet­land habi­tat (wa­ter's edge, deep marsh and mud­flat) and will be timed to fol­low the wet­ting and dry­ing of the stun­ning Reedy La­goon at Gunbower Island. Par­tic­i­pants can elect to do one, two or all three days.

The five-day Low­land Wet­land Ecol­ogy Course will be held at Kil­cunda, South Gipp­s­land, Vic­to­ria from Novem­ber 7–11.

The course Is aimed at peo­ple en­gaged in con­ser­va­tion and wet­land man­age­ment and will in­clude pre­sen­ta­tions and field trips cov­er­ing wet­land ge­o­mor­phol­ogy, hy­drol­ogy, ecol­ogy, wa­ter chem­istry and wet­land restora­tion and man­age­ment.
