Rakali Ecological Consulting is running two courses on wetland ecology and plant identification.
The first is a Wetland Plant Identification course over three days in October. Each day will focus on a different wetland habitat (water's edge, deep marsh and mudflat) and will be timed to follow the wetting and drying of the stunning Reedy Lagoon at Gunbower Island. Participants can elect to do one, two or all three days.
The five-day Lowland Wetland Ecology Course will be held at Kilcunda, South Gippsland, Victoria from November 7–11.
The course Is aimed at people engaged in conservation and wetland management and will include presentations and field trips covering wetland geomorphology, hydrology, ecology, water chemistry and wetland restoration and management.
