Crowd pleaser

Field and Game - - NATIONAL CARNIVAL -

One young shooter got the crowd onside during a day one shootoff to decide the C-grade placings

14-year-old Wodonga sub Junior David Prichard stepped up with confidence and showed experience beyond his years as pushed a much older competitor to the wire. “I’m pretty happy with that performance, it is the best I’ve shot, I enjoyed it a lot,” he said.

David practices at least twice a week and apart from a bit of footy it is his main sport.

“I take it seriously most of the time but sometimes I just want to have fun, I’d like to get really good at it, AA, 25 badges and that sort of stuff.”

From what the crowd saw during the shoot off, and especially the way he handled the pressure, those rewards might not be too far off.
