Classic shoot off

Field and Game - - NATIONAL CARNIVAL -

The Beretta Classic ended day one of the National Carnival on a high with the handicap system leaving three finalists tied after the first 25 targets.

Robert Hall (AA), Andrew Leech (A), Giovanni Africana (B) and Noah Bazzano (C) went head to head.

After 25 targets, Hall, Africana and Bazzano were all tied on 14 and Greg Chan from Beretta called for another round to decide the winner of the Silver Pigeon shotgun. The shoot off remained tight until the end when Robert Hall, who won his way into the shoot off with 71/75 OTG edged away in the final few stands. With a day’s shooting still ahead of him Robert admitted he was a bit tired after a long day but positive after a good showing.

“It was very interesting, they all shot very well and the targets were pretty hard,” he said. “As long as the targets are fair for all grades it’s a great competition and good for the crowd too.”
